To Sports Fans Everywhere

Ok for those of you that don't know the Masters Golf tournament has been going on the past 4 days. And I am happy to say I have gotten to see most of it. Golden Boy and I had the awesome priviledge to go see the final round one year 1994. I was hooked I have always loved sports. I like football, baseball, hockey, golf, tennis and yes even bowling. I love to watch it all and don't usually mind if it is on at my home. The Masters however is a whole different world. First of all you cannot just go to this golf tournament. Someone has to die or let you have thier tickets which rarely happens. GB got them that year because his boss at the time had some through his dad. We drove to Augusta and steppped out in the parking lot which seemed to hold a million cars. And these people were serious followers, we were sorely under prepared. No cute little folding chairs to carry around to the next hole. No umbrellas to keep the sun off . No matching outfits or logoed golf shirts. Just a couple of kids going to watch some golf. The year we went Ernie Els won It wa so exciting. It a beautiful course covered in pink azelas and perfect grass. stone covered bridges and huge beautiful trees. They even use green sand to color in the holes in the greens and all the food you buy is wrapped in green celaphane so if it falls onto the course the cameras do not pick it up. This year a kid from Iowa won His name is Zach Johnson. After his win on the 18th green he walked over and kissed his baby boy and wife. When he was interviewed later before receiveing his green jacket he gave glory to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was so excited!!!! He had never won any torney this big and he came out of nowhere to beat the big boys, Tiger went down with a thud and so did Appleby & Gossen. It will be a good start to his career which I hope is a long and happy one. And any of you who want to come over to my house and watch next year just bring your favorite snacks and come on over.
