My Dad

My dad's life story would make one of the best reads of the year. And
in honor of fathers day I am going to attempt to give you just a small
idea of the story line.
It begins.......

A young sharecroppers son one of eight living in Florida spends his young
childhood days working in a field. He is born to poor family 6 boys two
girls. They traveled from farm house to farm house working the fields and whatever
crop was in season. His mother had 4 boys when her husband dies unexpectedly
and she remarries and has 2 girls and two boys. He grows up and has no
formal education past the 8th grade. He works days in a cotton field during the day. And at night as a logger in the woods. He gives over half of his pay to
support his family and does so willingly not because they asked. All the
brothers in his family enlist in branches of the military and serve our
country. His mother sent all her boys off to war and sees them all come
home safely. Dad serves in the Air Force in Korea as a truck driver &
military vehicle repairman. He gets out of service and is stationed in
Utah. He starts working for Sears as a Truck Driver and ends up driving
for them for over 30 years.
With a perfect driving record I might add. He meets a girl there and
later marries her. They try for many years to have children but, they lose all 3.
One girl who was stillborn, One girl who did not live but a few hours
and one boy who also only lived s few hours. They then adopted a
precious, beautiful baby girl and raise her in a Godly,Loving, Fun,
Leave it to Beaver like Home.

He served at his local church for almost 40 years as deacon, chairman of
the finance committee, and all other committees in between. He can make
friends very easily and loves to talk to strangers. He loves nothing
more than to send people cards for birthdays and anniversaries and just
cause.
He also loves to receive cards and saves everyone he gets. He is a very
proud man who takes pride in his home and yard. He has given me more
than I could ever
thank him for and I am privileged to call him my dad.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY DADDY!!!! I LOVE YOU !!!!
