"Some find it pleasant, dining on pheasant, those things roll off my
knife, Give me tomatoes and mashed potatoes I like the simple life"
Time spent at home watching movies with my kids
Cuddling in bed early in the morning all three kids gathered around me
Looking across the table at three little faces in their jammies
Hearing the car pull up in the driveway while I cook supper and hearing the kids yell DADDY!!!!!!!
Listening to the girls giggle as they are supposed to be sleeping
Frosting sugar cookies at Christmas with my kids
Watching J and his daddy wrestle on the floor after J tells his daddy "Oh it's GO Time"
Putting on K shirts when I don't feel good because they smell like him and that makes me feel better
Having the kids bus driver call our house the night before school starts to tell us she is looking forward to driving the kids again this year.
Having my kids be so comfortable at their church that the 9 yr old can rattle off the long list of kids she will be friends with forever because they all love Jesus.
I hope to never take for granted the simple things.

Ah, yes. The simple things. Those are the things that get overlooked sometimes but I am sure when we are old(er) and gray(er), we will look back and realize these are the things that truly defined us.
Thanks for this...was just what I needed to hear tonight!
I love you.
Might I add:
Friends you can call anytime for anything from anywhere and know that they will be right there and they care and will always love you no matter what.
